Office of EdTech

Digital technologies are central to our society, and they are playing an expanded role in education. Educational Technology, or EdTech, is a rapidly changing field that is poised to change the way we teach and learn both at home and in the workplace. These technologies offer vast opportunities to transform how we teach and learn, but without thorough research, we lack the understanding necessary to make these tools truly transformative. Companies producing innovative education tools will miss the chance to partner with educators who may not realize the full potential these new programs offer, or who may lack the training or resources to effectively integrate them into the classroom. As a leader in preparing future teachers, researchers, and social changemakers, McGill’s Faculty of Education is able to provide guidance in effectively integrating technology into the classroom and beyond.
