Cancer Care

The clinical faculty in the Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology include those specializing in medical, surgical or radiation oncology as well as supportive care including psychosocial oncology and palliative care. They are part of the McGill network for cancer care which includes the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) and St. Mary's Hospital Center (SMH). The network provides care for patients with different types of cancer including breast cancer, upper and lower gastrointestinal cancers, hepatobiliary cancers, gynecologic cancers, genitourinary cancers, hematologic malignancies, head & neck cancers, brain and central nervous system cancers, and sarcomas.  There are also specialties in pediatric oncology, adolescent and young adult oncology and geriatric oncology as well as programs in cancer prevention, cancer genetics and cancer nutrition and rehabilitation.  In addition, patients have access to novel, cutting-edge treatments through clinical trials.
