Department of Oncology Celebrates 34 Years 

The McGill Department of Oncology was founded in 1990 and was the first such department in Canada.  This year we celebrate 34 years of excellence in cancer-related education, research, policymaking and public engagement.

We are a vibrant department whose faculty members work in a wide range of cancer-related disciplines. Our members include researchers and clinicians dedicated to understanding, preventing, treating and curing cancer, as well as improving the quality of life of individuals with cancer throughout the disease trajectory.
