Sustainability Module

Do you want to join the McGill sustainability movement in less than an hour? The University has launched a module in myCourses that offers a crash course on the concept of sustainability and outlines ways students, staff, and faculty can get involved on campus and beyond. There is both a student and a staff/faculty version to provide tailored ways of getting involved through courses, research, and at the office.

Available in both French and English, the module is a flagship action of the McGill University Climate & Sustainability Strategy 2020-2025, which includes a commitment to increase sustainability education opportunities for the McGill community.

The module include dozens of external resources to show the interdisciplinary nature of sustainability and provide a deeper dive into the topics that interest you most. It takes about 45 minutes to complete and participants can revisit the content at any time.

For Students

"Creating a Brighter Future: Sustainability at McGill" is available to all students who want to incorporate sustainability into their time at McGill. Packed with resources, this module offers an overview on the concept of sustainability and outlines ways you can contribute to a more sustainable future through courses, research, events, and initiatives.

Completion of the module gives students co-curricular credit, however it might take up to 90 days for students to see it on their co-curricular record (CCR).

For Staff and Faculty

"Envisioning a More Sustainable McGill" is a training module available to all employees who want to learn how sustainability can play a role in their career while collectively contributing to a more sustainable McGill. Packed with resources, this module offers an overview on the concept of sustainability, highlights sustainability-related initiatives and opportunities at McGill, and outlines ways sustainability can play a role in your career
