Plan Your Goals: Kickstart your IDP
Wednesday, April 14, 2021 10:00to12:00
Goal setting is an important predictor of wellbeing and success in graduate school. The IDP (Individual Development Plan) is a tool designed to help you articulate and plan your goals. Think of your IDP as a tailored roadmap that guides you from where you are now to where you want to be. The purpose of an IDP is not to "lock" you into a set of goals, but rather to help you approach your work and life with more intention, and to adapt your plan when new challenges and opportunities arise. McGill Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies developed myPath specifically to help you create an IDP. See www.mcgill.ca/mypath for more information.
This online workshop will guide you through the myPath workbook. Participants will learn how to 1) reflect on your skills and interests 2) build ideas for future goals, 3) identify priorities for the next semester or year, and 4) develop an action plan.
Note: this is a condensed online version of the in-person "How to Plan Your Life: Create your IDP" 2-part workshop
