Dr. Basik’s research program is the identification of amplified and over expressed genes in primary, metastatic or anti-cancer treatment resistant breast cancers. His laboratory is using advanced tissue microarray technology and Patient derived Xenografts (PDX) models to better understand the clinical value of targeted genes in the context of cancer metastasis and drug resistance.
