Welcome to the Surgery eNewsletter

I am delighted to introduce this new McGill Department of Surgery eNewsletter. This new initiative is part of our efforts to improve communication and community across the Department’s divisions and hospital sites. The e-newsletter will be published every 3 months via our Department website and as a PDF that you will receive by email. Our hope is that the e-newsletter will keep us all updated and informed on the latest news, clinical teaching updates, research activities, and upcoming events, as well as provide a channel to facilitate communication and collaboration. I would like to thank Ms Carolynna Olha and Christina Raneburger for all their work getting this off the ground.

This e-newsletter is meant to provide quick and timely updates. We will still have our twice annual Square Knot, under editor Dr Harvey Sigman, which will continue to include longer stories, incoming and graduating resident vignettes, new faculty recruits, program development, visiting professor summaries and photos, and everything else. 

I hope you enjoy this first edition of the e-newsletter, and look forward to your feedback and suggestions.
