School of Religious Studies Governance
In March 2018, the Provost mandated the School of Religious Studies to revise and codify its governing regulations and terms of reference of all of its standing and special committees. The Working Group consisted of Garth Green (Director), Ian Henderson (Chair), Hudson Meadwell (ARTS) Lara Braitstein, Hamsa Stainton, and Heidi Wendt. They were charged with reviewing FRS and SRS documents and practices, historical and current, as well as governance documents and practices in other Arts units. On this basis, the attached 'Governance Handbook' was recorded. It was approved by the Faculty of Arts constitutional advisor, Brian Cowan, as compliant with the constitutionality of the Faculty of Arts on January 21, 2020, and was ratified without alteration by the School of Religious Studies Council on November 24, 2020.
