The Department of Natural Resource Sciences of McGill University for many years provided a student-run resource called the Urban Nature Information Service (U.N.I.S.). In 2008, their last year of operation, the students built a web site that summarized their advice to the public on a wide range of subjects, from tips on ecological gardening and lawn care, to guidelines on how to deal with wildlife, to energy saving methods for your home. The U.N.I.S. site is still up-to-date, therefore we encourage you to take advantage of this valuable source of information. Consult Urban Nature Information Service
