Message from the Associate Dean

Dear Colleagues,

The McGill University Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Office for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has a core mission to support healthcare providers in caring for diverse patient populations. To serve the educational needs of family physicians and other medical specialists, residents, medical students and allied healthcare professionals, the Office continues to offer the McGill CPD MedUpdates webinar series as live and on-demand accredited learning modules.

Through the concerted efforts of our dynamic Scientific Planning Committee, guest faculty and dedicated administrative staff, this year’s programming offers varied and stimulating content and includes 72 CPD presentations covering 12 disciplines.

As always, weekly one-hour webinars will be livestreamed on Wednesdays, starting at 12:00 ET, while the weekly two-hour webinars will be livestreamed on Thursdays from 18:30 ET. All webinars will be archived and made available as on-demand learning modules one week after each live session. This will allow you to watch at your convenience to receive full credit for up to one year.

Continuing professional development is crucial to maintaining competence and mandatory for licensure. All webinars meet the accreditation/certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. As such, participants may claim Mainpro+® or MOC Section 1 credits.

On behalf of the McGill CPD Office, I invite you to consult the McGill CPD MedUpdates site for more information, including a list of upcoming interactive presentations.

Whether you are at home, at the office, or on campus, we look forward to joining you for this remarkable learning experience.

Best regards,

Heather Abrahams, MDCM, CCFP
