Skàtne Entewathahìta / We Will Walk Together

The 4th annual Faculty of Education event for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day

The opening ceremony from 10:00 AM to 10:30 includes honoured guests and drumming. Special guests include Associate Provost (Indigenous Initiatives) Celeste Pedri-Spade (Ojibwe), Morgan Kahentonni Phillips (Kanien’kehá:ka), Pasha Partridge (Kanien’kehà:ka / Inuit), and Alex Allard-Gray (Mi’gmaq). The ceremony will be held outdoors by the 3700 McTavish entrance (weather permitting), so please dress appropriately.

At 10:30 AM to noon, there will be an Information Fair concerning various Indigenous initiatives with 19 groups from the Faculty of Education, McGill, and beyond—held in the Learning Commons area of the Education Building, 3700 McTavish (1st floor).

The Indigenous Law Association at McGill will be selling orange shirts ($20), and Indigenous students will also be selling arts and crafts--with proceeds going to Indigenous charities. Light refreshments will be available.

Come join this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day event for an interactive information fair that highlights Indigenous initiatives within the Faculty of Education and beyond.
