McGill Students Knitting Club

If you've ever wanted to learn how to knit, this is your chance! We will teach you how to cast on, how to do the basic knit stitch, and depending on the progress of the group, how to cast off and purl.

This workshop is free and materials are provided, but if you would like to bring home the materials with you (ie a pair of knitting needles and a ball of yarn) to keep practicing, we ask that you pay 5$ so that we can keep buying materials for future workshops. You do not have to decide this in advance, you can decide on the spot if you want to take the materials home with you!

There is no need to sign up for this workshop, but we have a limited quantity of materials and teaching capacity. If you arrive late and there are no more materials available, there is unfortunately nothing we can do in that case.

There will be other workshops for beginners in the future, so if you can't make it to this one, don't worry!
