McGill’s School of Communication Sciences and Disorders is proud to be hosting a research talk on enhancing the language of adolescents with DLD and a workshop on using narratives in clinical assessment and intervention.
These events are funded by the Scaringi Lecture Series grant. This year the events are also co-sponsored by the FRQSC group on Cognitive plasticity and language acquisition.

Although the pandemic made in-person Convocation ceremonies impossible once again this year, the event represents an important milestone in a graduate’s journey as the recognition of years of hard work. It also provides an opportune time to reflect on that journey, as Dr. Haruka Saito, the lone 2021 graduate from the School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (SCSD), did in taking some time to answer a few of our questions.

Established in 2010, this award is aimed at full-time faculty members in the health professional Schools of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (Communication Sciences and Disorders, Nursing, Physical and Occupational Therapy), in order to recognize individuals with outstanding scholarly potential and demonstrated research excellence in the early stages of their career.
