Computers and software

Computer Lab in McLennan

Student Accessibility and Achievement runs a computer lab in the McLennan Library. The room number is M1-21G and it is located on the main floor of the McLennan Library, just behind the elevators and new periodicals on the left hand side (opposite the reserve room). It is open during regular library hours. The workstations in that room are reserved for registered students only and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Adapted workstations in the Library

Adapted workstations equipped with scanners, screen readers and large-print software including JAWS, ZoomText and OpenBook may be found at the following locations:

  • Humanities and Social Sciences Library
  • Macdonald Campus Library
  • Marvin Duchow Music Library

Study spaces

Group study rooms

There are more than book-able group study rooms with capacity ranging from 4 to 20 people. Many of them can be booked online for up to 2 hours at a time and a maximum of 4 hours per week. Bookings may be made up to 2 weeks in advance. A description of the furniture, equipment, and other features of the rooms, as well as directions can be viewed by clicking on the hyperlinked room number.

Quiet study spaces

A number of Library branches offer spaces for quiet study. Information about the various quiet study spaces in the various branches is available on our website.
