McGill to host American Journal of Comparative Law
The Faculty of Law of McGill University is delighted to announce that starting January 2014, it will host The American Journal of Comparative Law, in partnership with the Georgetown University Law Center. Professor Helge Dedek, who is Director of the Institute of Comparative Law at McGill, has been named co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal, together with two colleagues in Washington D.C.
Faculty of Law administrator Marie-Hélène Di Lauro retires after 38 years of service
On the evening December 5, 2013, dozens of people from the Faculty of Law community, along with family, friends and staff from other McGill faculties, gathered to bid adieu to Marie-Hélène Di Lauro, the Faculty’s long-serving Human Resources Advisor and Faculty Administrator.
Calls for papers: 2nd Manfred Lachs International Conference on Global Space Governance - 29-31 May 2014

On October 29, 2013, the Faculty of Law held a reception in the Common Room to honour the memory of Alex Konigsberg QC, BCL’63, and to also mark the launch of the Alex Konigsberg Management & Law Bursary.
The Faculty of Law was privileged to welcome Mr. Konigsberg’s widow, Vivian Konigsberg, and many members of his family. Several of his friends, colleagues and former McGill Law classmates also attended.

Six projects at the Faculty of Law receive SSHRC funding

McGill MBA student team wins 2013 Hult Prize Competition
A team of five McGill students won the 2013 Hult Prize, valued at $1 million for their social enterprise project to secure food for undernourished communities in urban slums. Among them is Shobhita Soor, a Law/MBA student.
Yaw Nyampong named Executive Director of Centre for Research in Air & Space Law
The Faculty of Law is pleased to announce that Dr. Yaw Nyampong has been named Executive Director of the Centre for Research in Air & Space Law.
Yaw Nyampong (LLM’05, DCL’11) is also a graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Ghana, Legon. He held an Arsenault Postdoctoral Fellowship at McGill's Institute of Air & Space Law in 2011-2012, and a Boulton Fellowship at the Faculty of Law in 2012-2013.
The Worlds of the Trust: newest publication from the Paul-André Crépeau Centre
We are happy to announce that the latest publication from the Crépeau Centre is The Worlds of the Trust (Cambridge University Press, 2013), which was edited by Professor Lionel Smith.
This collection of 22 essays makes a significant contribution to the comparative study of trusts. It includes contributions from Canada, the U.S., England, France, Scotland, South Africa, Israel and China.
