Getting involved with the Faculty is easy. There are many ways that you can be involved with the Faculty, including the following:
Mentorship program
The Student Mentorship Program was inaugurated in 2014-2015 by Dr. Norman P. Miller following a generous philanthropic gift to the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences. We are constantly recruiting alumni to be part of our mentorship program. Matching is based on several factors beginning with the goals and areas of interested as stated by the mentees when they filled out their registration questionnaire. Mentors will be assigned either one or two mentees based on these matching criteria. It's an enriching experience for both students and alums!
Alumni donor student awards
Awards for DMD and graduate students donated by alumni are among the most prestigious honours given out by the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences. Every year at the White Coat Ceremony and at the spring convocation award celebration, these awards are given in recognition of their excellence and talent in the classroom and beyond.
Outstanding Alumni Awards
The Outstanding Alumni Awards recognizes and celebrates graduates and students for their exceptional contributions to the Faculty and the dental profession in general. The winners are nominated by their peers and a call for nominations is sent in April of each year.
McGill Continuing Dental Education
Every year our the McGill CDE program offers a variety of courses that alumni and non-alumni can take to use towards their required Continuing Dental Education credits. For more information on our CDE program visit www.mcgillcde.ca.
