Here's an expert who can answers questions about food safety:

Jennifer Ronholm, Department of Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry, McGill University

Professor Ronhom's research area involved the study of bacterial surface proteins which would allow the identification of particularly virulent strains of Listeria monocytogenes and Salmonella. She worked previously with Health Canada where she focused on developing genomics based techniques for evaluating and improving the safety of several food products, particularly seafood. She can discuss Listeria, Salmonella, and norovirus contamination, among other things.
