Our lounge space

 

Our lounge is open to students, Mondays through Fridays from 10am to 4pm, from September through April. Visit our space to learn more!

 

This week:

Monday Jan. 14
12:30-2:00 PM: Soup and bagel lunch at the Newman Centre (3484 Peel). Back again today for the Winter term! Enjoy some home-made soup with fresh veggies, a bagel, and fair trade coffee! Usually Monday to Thursday when class is in session.
6:00 - 8:00 PM: Ecumenical protestant bible study and light supper for students and young adults 18-35 from all over the world and diverse faith backgrounds. Conducted primarily in English. LGBTQ+ affirming.

Tuesday Jan. 15

5:45-7:00 PM: Spiritual side of yoga class with MORSL. Brown Building, room 5001. Additional dates also open for registration.

Wednesday Jan. 16
12:00-12:30 PM: Mindfulness meditation in the Counselling meeting room (3600 McTavish, 4th floor).
5:30-6:30 PM: Midweek Quaker meditation. Claude Ryan Library, on the second floor of the Newman Centre at 3484 Peel Street.

Thursday Jan. 17
6:00-8:00 PM: Food For Thought: Israel’s Election & Make-Your-Own Tahini at Hillel house, 3460 Stanley.
6:00-9:00 PM Decorate your own flowerpot for Tu Bishvat. Join students at Hillel (3460 Stanley) to learn more about the new year for trees and ecological initiatives in the Jewish community. Open to Jewish and non-Jewish students alike!
6:45-8:00 PM: Spiritual side of yoga class with MORSL. Brown Building, room 5001. Please note that the Brown Building is locked as of 7pm, so it is important to be on time. Additional dates also open for registration.

Friday Jan. 18
6:00-9:00 PM: Kirtan, Community, & Blessings. Join the McGill Sikhs and MORSL volunteers in singing to commemorate the Illumination Day of the tenth Nanak, Guru Gobind Singh Jee. Open to all. Brown Building, room 5001, 3600 McTavish.
11:59 PM: Deadline to submit to the next issue of Radix on the theme "Care".

Saturday Jan. 19
2:30-4:30 PM: MORSL tabling at the event Life Beyond Rez. New Residence Hall Ballroom (3625 Avenue du Parc). Please register to attend and win door prizes!
