This April, McGill Desautels undergraduate students proudly showcased their contributions at the 2024 Integrated Management Student Fellowship (IMSF) Showcase Day. Held at the McGill Faculty Club, the event highlighted the 2023-2024 cohort’s research and projects, all of which relate back to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Two students join McGill Desautels as 2024 McCall MacBain Scholars
Mcgill University's McCall MacBain Scholarships has announced its fourth cohort of recipients, beneficiaries of a landmark $200 million gift made in 2019 by McGill’s 20th Chancellor John McCall MacBain and his wife Marcy. This year’s scholarships will enable 30 students to pursue a funded master’s or professional degree at McGill while participating in mentorship, coaching, and a leadership development program.

In Memoriam - Wallace Crowston
On February 25, 2024, a major figure in McGill Desautels’ history passed away. Wallace (Wally) Crowston was a former professor and dean who led the Faculty of Management during the late 1980s and 1990s. Crowston’s research explored the use of computer-based information systems to plan and coordinate project management, and he authored widely cited articles in major journals.

The New York City Public Pension Fund has pushed Canada’s largest bank to deliver greater transparency about its investments in green energy and fossil fuels. The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) will begin publishing the ratio between the two types of energy investments in its portfolio.
After a slow 2023, exchange-traded fund listings are revitalizing
In 2023, more than 120 exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were delisted in Canada—more than four times as many as in an average year. Even so, there was still a net gain in the overall number of ETFs, with 164 new ones launching for the year. With numbers in for the first quarter of 2024, the high number of delistings appears to have been an anomaly.

This annual award recognizes a professor's outstanding commitment to students and engaging and innovative teaching methods. It is the highest honour given by the undergraduate student body at the McGill Desautels Faculty of Management.
The Hot Cities World Tour explores Egypt and Morocco
Since its inception in 2009, McGill's annual Hot Cities of the World Tour has taken undergraduates, graduates, alumni, and professors to the frontier of our increasingly globalized world. This year, the 13th iteration of the tour visited Egypt and Morocco – two of the largest and most important economies in Africa, and critical gateways to Europe and the Middle East.
