Principal Investigator: Franco Carnevale
Funding Source: SSHRC
Period: 2013-2018

This project will examine the moral experiences of children in situations involving a determination of their best interests or their engagement in moral agency; 2) Investigate how children’s best interests and moral agency are conceived by four key social institutions (i.e., child welfare, education, law, psychology); 3) Identify significant concerns that emerge within and between children’s moral experiences and institutional practices; 4) Highlight priorities for the development of norms, policies, practice standards, research, and educational programs for childhood-related professions, and develop materials to respond to these recommendations, based on the findings of this investigation.
