Film Screening - Real Voice: The impact of child abuse can last a lifetime

Dr. Chizuno Hata, a visiting professor at the School of Child and Youth Care at Toronto Metropolitan University, conducts research on youth in care and supporting youth advocacy. Dr. Hata supported Japanese youth who were previously in care in creating this documentary film to collect different voices and life experiences of youth who were in care and make them heard (sub-titled in English). The film screening will be followed by a discussion with the director as well as with some of the youth who were part of the film.
