Dr. Gigi Luk at the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology at McGill University is looking for adults to participate in a new research study. This study involves:
- A survey on language background and learning habit – for a 1 in 10 chance to win a $20 Amazon gift card  

Optional for those self-identified as having a learning disabilities:
- a 1-1.5 hour online session
- Complete language tasks in English
- Answer questions about their language acquisition history and language background

Dr. Ian P. Levy, Dr. Michael Lipset and Mr. Timothy Jones invite you to participate in a research study that they are conducting. The purpose of this study is to assess the abilities of school counselors to identify ASCA Mindsets & Behaviors in the language of youth; i.e. Hip-Hop. Enclosed is a fun and interactive survey wherein you will be asked to listen to a student's song and assess the degree to which, if at all, a variety of educational mindsets and behaviors are present.

Did you know... McGill students have access to 20 GB FREE personal file space on OneDrive, Microsoft’s cloud file storage component of the Office 365 package.

Important: New OneDrive storage capacity

Please note that students admitted on and after December 11th, 2023, receive 20GB of storage for McGill's OneDrive as well as 20GB storage for McGill's email (Outlook).

For now, the storage capacity allotted to students admitted before that date will not be affected.

Vanier awards are granted to highly qualified doctoral students who demonstrate academic excellence, research potential, and leadership.

A celebratory evening was held to celebrate the graduation of the 28 locals who completed their McGill University Bachelor’s of Education studies on October 22.

The graduates were a part of a special program where they studied in the Kahnawake, with instructors from the community.

Dr. Shaheen Shariff, DISE, Dr. Christopher Dietzel, and Safia Amiry are working on an edited collection about the social impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The goal of this collection is to identify and analyze ongoing and emerging pandemic-related challenges and develop realistic guidelines and suggestions for a post-pandemic world.

This past November, Distinguished James McGill Professor in the Department of Integrated Studies, Claudia Mitchell, was awarded the 2022 José Vasconcelos World Award of Education. Dr. Mitchell was present for the 37th World Cultural Council (WCC) Award to receive this honour at Universidade de Coimbra, Portugal, and to give her acceptance speech.
