Update on negotiations with AMUSE (floor fellows)

The parties met on September 27 and ratified the French version of several articles that had previously been approved in English. These articles relate to the purpose of the agreement, union recognition and scope of application, union dues, management rights, relationships between the parties, the probationary period, disciplinary measures, administrative dismissal and employment injury.

The parties also discussed and agreed on the text of articles pertaining to grievance and arbitration procedure, parental leave and health and safety in the workplace. The parties agreed that it was not necessary to include language related to the closing of the University and procedural changes.

The parties are scheduled to meet in front of the arbitrator on October 6.
