Adapting for the future of work
The recent shift to remote work is changing the types of skills graduates need to succeed in the workplace. According to Marie-José Beaudin, Executive Director of Career Services at the Desautels Faculty of Management, employers will be looking for candidates with strong emotional intelligence.
“[Graduates] need to be particularly sensitive to and aware of the needs of those they interact with,” Beaudin says. “Written and verbal communication will be increasingly important.”
