This event is free but spaces are limited. The onstage panel discussion will be in English and take place from 6:00 – 7:30pm followed by a one-hour cocktail reception.

Panelists will articulate what they have learned from the COVID-19 pandemic in the interest of finding a better path forward for women in the workplace. While there were early hopes that the pandemic would contribute to equitable treatment for women in professional settings, this is not necessarily what has transpired. Our esteemed panelists will share their experiences and insights from the pandemic, and express ideas for improving the position of women in these various sectors. This will be a candid conversation and will not be recorded, so be sure you don’t miss this opportunity to hear from these remarkable women on March 20th. We hope to see you there!
About the Panelists
Saloua Benkhouya
Saloua Benkhouya is Vice-President, Private Equity and Impact Investments at Fonds de solidarité FTQ. Saloua holds a BSc from McGill in Mathematics and Biology (2004) and an MBA from the Desautels Faculty of Management (2011). She also completed executive programs in Fintech and AI at MIT and Harvard and sits on the board of the Association of Québec Women in Finance (AFFQ). She has held several distinguished positions in investment banking, and recently won the Rising Star Awards from Women in Finance in Quebec.
Félicia Cá
Félicia Cá is a project and research coordinator at Relais-femmes, a feminist organization facilitating research partnerships for gender equality in Quebec. Félicia is involved in the Promotion des Actrices Racisées de la Recherche (PARR) project, which sheds light on the conditions of black and racialized women and non-binary researchers while creating resilient spaces of exchange and learning. She earned a double major in International Development Studies and Political Science (Arts), and a minor in Social Entrepreneurship (Management) from McGill (2022).
Christina M. Smith
Christina M. Smith is the Mayor of the City of Westmount, elected in 2017 and elected for a second term in 2021. She has been dedicated to public service for many years and is especially focused on ensuring that all residents benefit from programs and services. To this end, she continues to serve on several advisory bodies and community organizations. Prior to entering municipal politics, Christina was the Director of Industry and Government Affairs for Coca-Cola. She also served as the Policy Advisor to the Federal Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs.
Dr. Jana Taylor
Dr. Jana Taylor is an Associate Professor at McGill University and a radiologist at the McGill University Health Centre, specializing in lung cancer detection. Among many esteemed positions, she is currently the Program Director for the McGill Radiology Residency Program, Chair of the National Radiology Program Directors of Canada and Chair of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association of Radiologists. She received her MDCM (1999) and her residency (2004) at McGill University’s Faculty of Medicine.
