CATHERINE GIROUX, recently completed her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Institute of Health Sciences Education and is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy at McGill University and the MUHC. She is a Part-time Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa. Her SSHRC-funded postdoctoral work focused on exploring whether and how health professions educators and researchers use social media as a mechanism of knowledge translation.

Consent and intimate exams on anesthetized patients: Perspectives and experiences of Canadian medical students

PHOEBE FRIESEN is a philosopher and medical ethicist, working within the Department of Equity, Ethics, and Policy and the Department of Social Studies of Medicine at McGill University. Her work engages with ethical and epistemic issues related to the production and implementation of knowledge in the health sciences, drawing on feminist philosophy of science, ethics scholarship, and methodologies from the social sciences.
