As part of Techweek, the Association of the Engineering Consulting Firms - AFG and the Forum des Jeunes Professionels du Québec will come to McGill to demystify career of a consulting engineer.

About the speakers:
Samuel Lavoie is a professional engineer and project manager at Bouthillette Parizeau, a leading consulting firm specialized in HVAC&R and electrical engineering. He graduated from McGill in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and has been in the HVAC consulting business for more than 10 years. He had the opportunity to work on numerous important and fascinating projects such as the new McGill University Health Centre (MUHC). He was also president of the ASHRAE Montreal chapter for the year 2016-2017.

Nicolas Reyburn is a Junior Engineer at Exp Services Inc, a consulting firm which provides engineering, architecture, design and consulting services to the world’s built and natural environments.
Nicolas graduated from the University of Sherbrooke in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. Since he officially joined the Exp team in January 2016, Nicolas has been involved in various challenging and interesting projects, such as the rehabilitation of all HVAC systems of the hydroelectric generating station La Grande-4.
