Your monthly update from The Neuro-Patient Resource Centre

This is the inaugural edition of the monthly update from “The Neuro-Patient Resource Centre”. As part of Parkinson's disease Awareness Month, we’re highlighting information resources on Parkinson's disease.

One of the most consulted topics by patients who visit The Neuro-Patient Resource Centre is about driving. It’s a topic that brings up a lot of questions and uncertainties.

The resource we use regularly is the @Parkinson Quebec web page, a reliable source that addresses common concerns such as:

  • “Do I have to inform the SAAQ of my Parkinson’s diagnosis?”
  • “Do I have to inform my car insurance of my diagnosis?”
  • “How does Parkinson’s disease affect your ability to drive?”

You can explore these answers and more by visiting the webpage here: https://parkinsonquebec.ca/en/living-with-parkinsons/driving/

For a wealth of resources on Parkinson's disease, including books, guides, and more, visit our website: https://www.mcgill.ca/infoneuro/online-resources/medical-topics/parkinsons-disease

And if you prefer a more personal touch, don't hesitate to drop by and visit us at The Neuro, located in room 354.
