Published: 25 October 2019

Our Department is proud of Karim’s accomplishments. Dr. Zaghib is currently General Director of Hydro-Québec's Center of Excellence in Transportation Electrification and Energy Storage. Karim is adjunct professor of materials engineering since 2013 having contributed to the establishment and growth of a strong Li-ion battery research program through major collaborative grants culminating with the establishment of the Industrial Research Chair on Development and Characterization of Lithium Battery Materials held by Professor Raynald Gauvin. Thanks to the establishment of the Chair the Department was able to hire a new Assistant Professor with the support of the Faculty of Engineering and the University, Dr. Jinhyuk Lee (currently PDF at MIT) who will join us in January 2020.
