The Faculty of Law is thrilled to announce that five incoming BCL/JD students from across Canada have been selected for McCall MacBain Scholarships.

Future students Fatima Beydoun, Grace Ma, Nico Waltenbury, Somaya Amiri and Zeytouna Suleiman comprise one-quarter of the first McCall MacBain cohort. They will begin their BCL/JD degrees in September 2021.

“I am proud to see such a strong McGill Law presence among the inaugural group of McCall MacBain Scholars,” said Dean Robert Leckey. “Fatima, Grace, Nico, Somaya, and Zeytouna will certainly contribute richly to our Faculty’s well-rounded and exceptional student body when they begin classes in the fall.”

Established in 2019, the McCall MacBain Scholarships enable outstanding students to pursue a funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University while participating in mentorship and leadership development opportunities.

Each scholar was chosen on the basis of character, community engagement, leadership potential, entrepreneurial spirit, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity.

In September 2021, the 20 inaugural McCall MacBain Scholars will begin their master’s or professional degrees in five faculties at McGill University. The scholarship enables students to pursue a fully funded master’s or professional degree at McGill University while connecting with mentors and participating in an intensive leadership development program.
