Neuro Palliative Interdisciplinary Rounds

The Neuro Palliative Interdisciplinary Rounds will feature a three part series, presented by Jane Chambers-Evans, Nursing Practice Consultant, MUHC Clinical Ethicist, Associate Professor, School of Nursing, McGill University, which focuses on the topic of ‘Working with Angry Families’. 

Our third and the last part of this series which takes place on Monday, April 30, 2012 will give us the necessary tools to ‘Strengthen our practice in tough situations’.  This session will begin with a re-cap of series #1 & #2 followed by a short lecture which will help us ‘Identify resources in the system and how to access them’.  A specific case will be presented, then group breakout sessions will allow attendees the opportunity for small group work and open discussion.  An audience wide question & answer period will follow where you may bring your own cases which you may present and have discussed in an open facilitated discussion format.  Send your cases to debbie.rashcovsky [at] mcgill.ca in advance or bring them the day of.  Rsvp for this session is required by April 17, 2012.

The three part series, ‘Working with Angry Families’ will take place in the Jeanne Timmins Amphitheatre of the Neuro (3081 University Street) and begin promptly at 12:00 noon.  A light lunch will be offered.
