Wrapping up a successful 2019 for DesautelsConnect
As the end of 2019 approaches, we are pleased to share what a successful year it has been for DesautelsConnect. Many of you leveraged the platform by connecting with other members of the Desautels community, in turn expanding your network and making valuable professional connections.
Our inaugural Office Hours, which offer small, intimate group conversations between a Desautels alumnus/alumna and students and recent graduates, have been met with nothing but positive feedback. The October Office Hour, hosted by Farid Guindo, gave students some privileged insight into the world of investment banking, specifically hedge funds and buy-side opportunities. In November, MBA candidate Sonia Torres joined us for two Office Hour sessions, attracting students who were eager to learn about sales and trading, as well as internship opportunities at BMO Capital Markets.
Given the success of these events, we are excited about what is to come for DesautelsConnect in 2020. We are currently planning Office Hours that will touch on entrepreneurship and real estate, which will be sure to pique students’ interest. Stay tuned for details on these, as well as other noteworthy events.
