Masters students tackle sustainability in Desautels Cup

Published: 14 February 2020

On January 31, the Masters Office hosted the annual Desautels Cup. The event brought together nine teams from the MBA, Master of Management in Analytics and Master of Management in Finance programs and welcomed back MBA and Executive MBA alumni as distinguished judges.

The internal case competition challenges participants to put their first-semester knowledge to the test by asking them to solve real-world challenges facing businesses today. This year, participants were tasked with developing a growth strategy for a sustainable lab-grown palm oil company. Students competed over two rounds, before coming together for a celebratory cocktail event where the winning team was announced.

Congratulations to Aamir Zargham (MMF’20), Alice Wang (MBA’21), Nep Vijayaraja (MBA’21), and Ziqi Huang (MBA’21) for winning first place in the competition.
