Learning how to work within complex social contexts can reap huge personal and professional benefits. But, it’s not always easy to step into a community that’s facing challenges, especially as a representative from McGill. How can we bring the knowledge that we’ve learned or taught in the classroom and work in solidarity with communities to apply it? How do we balance short-term learning experiences with complex, long-term work?

As part of McGill's Community Engagement Day, this panel will feature perspectives from Desautels students, faculty, researchers, and staff on the opportunities and lessons learned working with community-based organizations.

Date: Thursday, September 28, 2017

Location: 1001 Sherbrooke Street W, Bronfman Building, Room 310

Time: 10:00 - 11:30am
