OSE Breakfast Club: Supporting Motivation and Engagement in Chemistry

Thursday, November 16, 2023 12:00to13:00
Ruttan Room, Otto Maass (Room 321)

Hosted by the Office of Science Education

Wondering how you can better support student motivation in chemistry courses? Join us for a presentation by So Yeon Lee and Sanheeta Shankar, students working with Dr. Kristy A. Robinson and the MILES (Motivation, Identity, Learning, and Education in STEM) Lab. You will learn about the results of the MILES Lab's ongoing research within McGill's Faculty of Science and how instructors support student motivation. Design principles for promoting motivation will also be shared.

Coffee and doughnuts will be served. Feel free to bring your own mug!

Contact ose [at] mcgill.ca for questions related to this event.

What is the Breakfast Club? It is a bit like a journal club where one person presents their education-based research or project, then leads a discussion.
