Take the sting out of your career search by signing up for the Grad Hive!

CaPS Grad Hive is a 4-part Design Thinking workshop on career development for international graduate students.

The curriculum will include speakers, workshops, hands-on experiential learning opportunities, and self-reflection tailored specifically for graduate students of international status, as well as those new to Canada. Topics will include career exploration, effective communication, self-promotion, and Canadian workplace culture.

By registering for the May 30 session you are automatically enrolled for all four sessions.

Mitacs Internship Info Session - Grad Hive Edition

This outreach session will provide information on the available programs sponsored by Mitacs, which offer financial assistance to graduate students and post-docs interested in undertaking research through a university-external collaborator partnership such as those with companies, non-profits or international academia.
Discussions will centre on the following programs:

Stuck in an elevator? Why not try out your “pitch”?

Job seeking is all about the stories that you tell about yourself! In this workshop, students will learn the importance of networking and will receive tips and strategies for communicating effectively with employers, recruiters, and future colleagues.

This workshop is open to all graduate students, and is designed to complement the International Graduate Student Grad Hive curriculum.

Learning outcomes: Graduate students will learn networking strategies and communication skills in the context of the job search.
