The annual Food for Thought Public Lecture Series is entering its 21st season of bringing timely science topics to the community: our neighbours, alumni, students, staff and faculty! 

This year's theme is Building Back Better: How to Sustainably Restructure Our Way of Living.

SPEAKER: Dr Jen Gobby, BA’14, PhD’20, Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, Concordia University

Jen Gobby, a recent graduate of the Economics for the Anthropocene (E4A) partnership, Department of Natural Resource Sciences, will discuss her research on theories and practices of social change. She will share the many rich insights and reflections she has gathered from climate activists and organizers and Indigenous land defenders who she has been working with. She will present a model a social change, forged in collaboration with folks on the frontlines of climate change and extractivism in Canada and discuss how this model can inform our efforts to build more sustainable and just systems in Canada and beyond.
