In 2023, William won 1st prize in his category at the Concours de La Relève Musicale de Québec, as well as the French melody prize sponsored by baritone Jean-François Lapointe and the prize awarded by jury president, Rachel Martel, for best stage presence in the "Master’s" category of the competition.
