Wednesday, October 7, 2020 14:00to15:30

The Government of Canada is currently recruiting for its marquee policy analyst development programs.

The APAP, formerly known as the Accelerated Economist Training Program, is a policy development program that offers an unparalleled opportunity to recent university graduates looking to join the federal public service. Participants complete four challenging six-month placements across the Government of Canada’s three central agencies—the Privy Council Office, the Department of Finance, and the Treasury Board Secretariat—and one other line department within the National Capital Region, moving from the EC-03 ($67,651) to EC-05 ($88,618) level within two years. Eligible applicants are final year Master’s-level students and recent graduates who exhibit leadership and academic excellence, good judgment, and analytical abilities and who meet the listed course requirements in economics and quantitative analysis. For more information on eligibility requirements, please review the 2019 APAP job posting (updates to the salary level and 2020 application dates will follow shortly) https://emploisfp-psjobs.cfp-psc.gc.ca/psrs-srfp/applicant/page1800?poster=1354501.

PARDP is Natural Resource Canada’s (NRCan) signature accelerated development program for Master's and Ph.D. graduates. Program participants learn how to effectively manage their careers and develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become leaders in policy. Participants experience rotational placements in two different NRCan sectors. The starting salary is from $67,651 and participants will graduate as permanent Government of Canada employees earning at least $88,618 after two years. The program offers opportunities for training and career development, relocation costs up to $5,000, and a flexible start date. The application deadline for this year’s cohort is October 18th.
