Thinking about Grad School? is a series of info sessions to help you decide if grad school is for you, to teach you the basics of the application process, and to provide you insight into the life of being a grad student.


 

 

How to Decide if Grad School is For Your

Applying to grad school is a big decision, and knowing whether it is the right choice for you can feel overwhelming. This session will give you a comprehensive look at what questions to take into account before applying to grad school. We'll outline strategies for choosing between grad school and working after graduation, so that you can make an informed decision.

By attending this workshop, students will be able to:
1) Identify key considerations to use when deciding whether to apply to graduate school
2) Evaluate the costs and benefits of attending graduate school
3) Assess whether a school or program is a good fit with their goals

Once your grad school applications are underway, all kinds of questions can come up. This workshop is designed to provide information and strategies about the application process in order to maximize your chances of success. We'll cover typical application procedures and the expectations around them.

By attending this workshop, students will be able to:
1) Identify typical application procedures and standard application components
2) Develop strategies for organizing their application process and promoting themselves as competitive applicants
